Egypt: Is it really a dangerous destination?

Egypt: Is it really a dangerous destination?

I had always heard that Egypt was a dangerous and chaotic destination. However, he also knew that there was one of humanity's most fascinating stories and the imposing pyramids of Giza - one of the Seven Wonders of the World. So I had to meet him.

Its capital, Cairo, is a city of contrasts and beautiful. Immense, full of movement and with a story that can be felt in every corner. Lots of traffic, but also lots of large, multi-lane roads. In a matter of minutes you can go from a modern city to places that transport you back thousands of years.

Cairo is a city that preserves the magic of the time of the pharaohs and of Jesus himself, who, according to history and the Catholic religion, was housed there in a church.

Is it dangerous? My experience taught me that we cannot define an entire country because of the risks that exist in some of its areas. As in any destination, it is important to inform yourself, take precautions and know the environment.

I can say that it was a beautiful destination with people who are always very willing to help you; they are so clear about the issue of tourism there that the guides speak to you in their language, but they can also speak to you in English, French, Spanish and Italian; and something that I found incredible is that they receive several coins such as dollars, euros, or Egyptian pounds.

For me, one of the keys to enjoying Egypt with greater peace of mind is to travel with a local tour operator and have professional guides who know the territory, its culture and its dynamics. Because traveling well also means knowing how to choose who accompanies you.

And Egypt is much more than its pyramids: it has incredible beaches, the blue waters of the Red Sea and the possibility of exploring the legendary Nile River. A destination where history, adventure and beauty meet.

My recommendation? Don't let prejudices decide for you. Find out, plan, travel with a travel agency and dare to discover places that can surprise you forever.

The world has too much to show you.

Go beyond. Discover the world. Follow your Soul.
